Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Affairs of the Harp collects when you apply to join our harp teacher directory via our teacher application form, why we collect it, and how you can have it corrected or deleted.

What we collect
When you submit a teacher application, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, a profile photo, a short biography, your website and social links (if provided), the instrument types, levels, and age groups you teach, your teaching format and location, your pricing, whether you hold a DBS check (plus an optional note and an uploaded document), whether you offer exam preparation and which exam board, and an optional video or showreel link.

Why we collect it
We use this information to review your application and, if approved, to list you as a teacher so prospective students can find and contact you. Your DBS document is used solely to verify your application and is not published.

Where it's stored
Your application details are stored in our database, and any uploaded files (photo, DBS document) are stored in our secure file storage. While your application is under review, only our admin team can see your details.

How long we keep it
We keep your application details for as long as your application or teacher listing remains active. If your application is rejected or you ask us to remove your details, we will delete them.

Your rights
You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to tell you what we hold about you, at any time. To do so, email info@affairsoftheharp.com.
